"I know those I chose". Jesus makes it clear that He is the Lord and that the choice and the sending belong to Him. The disciple's dignity lies in being a disciple and acting in the world, according to the personality of each one and his own freedom, having in him the same saving ideal of Christ, going to the same people, teaching the same truth, manifesting the same power and acting in the same form as a servant. The disciple is identified with the Master. Just as Jesus is the transparency of the Father, the disciple is the transparency of Christ, who, on his own initiative, identifies himself with the one who follows Him: "Whoever receives what I send receives me". From this conscious identification, the disciple will be able to combat the divisions and betrayals in the Church of Christ. Today, everyone is invited to total identification with Christ, to be an authentic disciple of Him, to become a tireless instrument of His presence in the Church and in the world, so that Truth, Love and Life may appear.
