On the afternoon of the same day, which was the first of the week, the disciples had closed the doors of the place where they were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, "Peace be with you!" 20 That said, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were glad to see the Lord. 21 He said to them again, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, so I also send you." 22 After these words, he breathed on them, saying to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 To those whom you forgive your sins, they will be forgiven; to those to whom you retain them, they will be retained." Sir.
Send your Spirit, Lord,
and renew the face of the earth.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O my God and my Lord, how great you are!
How numerous, O Lord, are your works!
The earth was filled with your creatures1
If you take their breath away, they perish
and go back to the dust where they came from.
You send your spirit and are reborn
and earth all over the face.
May the glory of the Lord always endure,
and let the Lord rejoice in his works!
Today, my song is pleasant to you,
for the Lord is my great joy!
We are called to be a reflection of the glory of God. First of all, he needs to find himself loved by God through Jesus Christ and also belonging to Him; then, he needs to find himself called and chosen to be the visible presence of God's glory in the world. For this, some elements are necessary: the discovery of the love of God and the choice of vocation; a profound experience with the Father, through Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit; a sincere life of prayer and contemplation of God; and a clarity about the world hostile to God but in need of the Lord's goodness. Let us love one another.
A strong and loving hug.
