LOVE IS THE WAY OF HEAVEN
If God loves us so much, so we must also love others. This we must learn to reach the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Lord is godliness and righteousness,
and leads sinners back to the right path.
He directs the humble in justice,
and he teaches his way to the poor.
Reading (Philippians 2,1-11 or 1-5)
Reading of St. Paul's letter to the Philippians.
2 1 If it is possible for me, then, some consolation in Christ, some charitable encouragement, some communion in the Spirit, some tenderness and compassion,
2 complete my joy by remaining united. Have the same love, one soul and the same thoughts.
3 Do nothing by party spirit or vainglory, but may humility teach you to consider others superior to yourselves.
4 Each one has in mind not his own interests, but those of others.
5 Dedicate to each other the esteem that is due in Christ Jesus.
6 Being of divine condition, his equality with God did not prevail,
7 but he annihilated himself, assuming the condition of a slave and resembling men.
8 And being outwardly recognized as a man, he humbled himself even more, becoming obedient to death, and death on the cross.
9 That is why God sovereignly exalted him and gave him the name that is above all names,
10 so that the name of Jesus will bend every knee in heaven, on earth and in hell.
