There was also among them a very wise philosopher in medicine and the natural sciences, and when he asked the Lord Jesus if he had studied medicine, he expounded to him the physics, metaphysics, the hyperphysics and the hypophysics, the virtues of the body and the moods and their effects, the number of limbs and bones, secretions, arteries and nerves, temperatures, heat and dry, cold and wet, and what are their influences; what are the actions of the soul in the body, its sensations and virtues, the faculty of speech, anger, desire, its composition and dissolution, and other things that the intelligence of no creature has ever attained. Then the philosopher arose and worshiped the Lord Jesus, saying, "Lord, from now on I will be your disciple and your servant."
And while they were talking, Mary appeared with Joseph, and three days ago they were looking for Jesus; Seeing him sitting among the doctors, questioning them and answering him alternately, she said to him, "My son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I sought you out, and your absence caused us much distress." He replied, "Why are you looking for me? Did you not know that it was fitting for me to remain in my Father's house?" But they did not understand the words he spoke to them. Then the doctors asked Mary if he was her son, and she said yes, they exclaimed, "Happy Mary, who gave birth to such a child." He returned with his parents to Nazareth, and he was submissive to them in everything. And her mother kept all her words in her heart.
