«YOU WILL LOVE YOUR NEXT LIKE YOURSELF»
Jesus said to the disciples, "Love one another, as I have loved you" (Jn 13:34). 2196. Answering the question posed about the first of the commandments, Jesus said: «The first is:" Listen, Israel! The Lord our God is the only Lord. You will love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul , with all your understanding and with all your strength! ". The second is this: "You will love your neighbor as yourself". There is no other commandment greater than these »(Mk 12, 29-31). And the apostle Paul recalls: “Whoever loves his neighbor fully complies with the law. In fact: In any other commandment, they are summed up in one sentence: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself". Love does no harm to others. Thus, it is in love that the law is fully fulfilled ”(Rom. 13: 8-10). This love extends to us all over the world, albeit at a distance, because God is the Father and loves us all, wants us to overcome the challenge to live in his house in Heaven.
