Jesus Christ, Savior, destroyed evil and death; / He made shine, through the Gospel, the imperishable light and life (2Tm 1,10). At that time, 21Jesus crossed again, in a boat, to the other bank. A large crowd gathered around him, and Jesus stayed on the beach. 22Then approached one of the heads of the synagogue, named Jairus. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet 23 and asked insistently: “My little girl is in her last years. Come and put your hands on her so she can heal and live!" 24Jesus then went with him. A large crowd followed him and pressed him.] 25Now there was a woman who had been hemorrhaging for twelve years; She had suffered at the hands of many doctors, she had spent everything she had, and instead of getting better, she got worse and worse. 27Having heard about Jesus, she approached him from behind, in the midst of the crowd, and touched his clothes. 28She thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I'll be cured." 29The bleeding stopped immediately, and the woman felt inside herself that she was cured of the disease. 30Jesus soon realized that a force had gone out of him. And, turning in the middle of the crowd, he asked, "Who touched my clothes?" 31The disciples said, “You see the crowd pressing against you, and you ask, 'Who has touched me?'” 32But he was looking around to see who had done it. 33The woman, full of fear and trembling, realizing what had happened to her, came and fell at Jesus' feet and told him the whole truth. 34He said to her: “Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be cured of this disease”. God did not make death, nor does he take pleasure in the destruction of the living. 14He created all things to be, and the creatures of the world are healthy: in them there is no poison of death, neither is death that reigns over the earth: 15for righteousness is immortal. 2.23 God created man for immortality and made him in the image of his own nature; 24It was the devil's envy that death entered the world, and those who belong to it experience it.
