Bem-aventurados os mansos, porque eles herdarão a terra;
Bem-aventurados os que têm fome e sede de justiça, porque eles serão fartos;
Bem-aventurados os misericordiosos, porque eles alcançarão misericórdia;
Bem-aventurados os limpos de coração, porque eles verão a Deus;
Bem-aventurados os pacificadores, porque eles serão chamados filhos de Deus;
Bem-aventurados os que sofrem perseguição por causa da justiça, porque deles é o reino dos céus;
Bem-aventurados sois vós, quando vos injuriarem e perseguirem e, mentindo, disserem todo o mal contra vós por minha causa.(Mt.5)
Brethren, 31All bitterness, irritation, anger, shouting, insults, all these must disappear from among you, like every kind of malice. 32Be kind to one another, be compassionate; forgive one another, as God forgave you through Christ. 5.1Be imitators of God, as children he loves. 2Live in love, as JESUS Christ loved us and gave himself to God for us, in a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice. – Word of the Lord. Just fear him and walk in his ways; that you love and serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13and that you keep the commandments and precepts of the Lord, which I prescribe to you today, that you may be happy. 14See, it is to the Lord your God that the heavens belong, the highest of the heavens, the earth and everything in it. 15However, it was your fathers that the Lord was fond and loved; and after them it was his seed, that is, you, whom he chose among all peoples, as is proved today. 16So open your hearts, and harden not your necks any longer, 17for your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and terrible God, who is no respecter of persons, nor accepts bribes. 18He does justice to the fatherless and the widow, he loves the stranger and gives him food and clothing. 19Therefore love foreigners, for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt. 20Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and him alone shalt thou serve; you will cling to him and swear by his name. 21He is your praise, he is your God, who has done for you those great and terrible things which you have seen with your own eyes. 22When you went down to Egypt, your fathers were only seventy people, and now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven”. –
