1. "No man can come unto me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him." In fact, this new life is not the fruit of human action, it does not concern its natural life, it does not come from the will of the human being. It is a reality that demands the gift of faith, the gift of God, because it is through the Father's will that this life is given in a context of total adhesion to the Son. The Father draws to the Son, for there will be no resurrection without it not through him. Creation and salvation happen through Jesus Christ. There is no parallel road. All is drawn to the Son, so that through Him you may reach your highest goal of eternal communion. Here we can think of all Israel's preparation for an encounter, but not any encounter, but that definitive with Jesus, for all the Law and the Prophets turn to the Son of God and IN HIM they are fulfilled, who is the fulness for the whole design of the Lord for all mankind. The Jews were prepared for this saving encounter, to recognize in the Christ the presence of God, the arrival of peace and liberation; were drawn by the Father to go to Jesus, but unfortunately many did not listen to the Word, many did not listen to the prophecies.
