Urges you to revive the flame of the gift of God that you have received by the imposition of my hands.
Urges you to revive the flame of the gift of God
that you received by the imposition of my hands.
Beginning of the second letter from São Paulo to Timothy 1,1-3.6-12
1
Paul, Apostle of Jesus Christ for the Design of God
referring to the promise of life
that we have in Christ Jesus,
two
Timothy, my dear son:
Grace, Mercy and Peace
from God the Father
And of Christ Jesus, our Lord!
3
I thank God,
- To whom I serve with pure consciousness,
As I learned from my ancestors -,
When I remember you, day and night,
in my prayers.
6
For this reason,
urges you to revive the flame of the gift of God
that you received by the imposition of my hands.
7
For God did not give us a spirit of shyness
But of Fortaleza, of love and sobriety.
8
Do not embarrass you from the testimony of our Lord
Not even from me, your prisoner,
but suffers me for the gospel,
fortified by the power of God.
9
God saved us
and called us with a holy vocation,
Not due to our works,
but by virtue of its design and its grace,
that was given to us in Christ Jesus
from all eternity.
10
This grace has been revealed now,
By the manifestation of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Not only destroyed death,
as it also made life and immortality shine
Through the Gospel,
11
of which I was constituted announcer,
Apostle and Master.
12
This is the cause I am suffering,
But I don't embarrass myself,
Because I know who I put my faith.
And I'm sure he is able to keep
what was entrusted to me until the big day.
Word of the Lord.

GOSPEL
He is not God of the dead, but living!
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 12: 18-27
In that time,
18
came to have some Sadducees with Jesus,
who claim that there is no resurrection
and proposed this case:
19
"Master, Moses gave us this prescription:
If someone's brother dies,
and leave the wife without children,
this man's brother must marry the widow,
in order to guarantee the descent of his brother. "
20
Now there were seven brothers,
The oldest married,
and died without leaving offspring.
21
The second married the widow,
and died without leaving offspring.
And the same thing happened to the third.
22
And none of the seven left offspring.
Lastly the woman also died.
23
In the resurrection, when they resurrect,
Who will she be a woman from?
Why the seven got married with her! "
24
Jesus answered:
"If you are not deceived,
for not knowing the Scriptures,
Not even the power of God?
25
Indeed, when the dead rise,
men and women will not marry,
for they will be like the angels of heaven.
26
As for the fact of the resurrection of the dead,
Do not read, in the book of Moses,
in the passage of the burning bush,
How God told you:
'I am the God of Abraham,
The God of Isaac and the God of Jacob '?
27
Now he is not God of the dead, but of alive!
You are very deceived. "
Word of salvation.
