RECEIVE AS A FRIEND AND APPRECIATE WHAT I GAVE YOU

RECEIVE AS A FRIEND AND APPRECIATE WHAT I GAVE YOU
Jesus Christ is aware of all that will pass because of His surrender to the salvation of mankind. He knows that the world will make him suffer, reject him, kill him, but will not stop his victory, which will come on the "Third Day." Knowing well the end for each prophet, He does not shy away from what the world is preparing for him through the use of the ingredients of hatred, lies, illusion, despair, and powerless passion. On the other hand, Jesus does not allow himself to be seduced by anything that prevents Him from doing exclusively the will of the Father, from being obedient to death, from being YES at all moments of His life and from not abandoning His love for the salvation of those who desire destroy Him.

2. What you do with Christ, you will do with His followers. That is why Jesus says, "If any man will follow me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." There are three important verbs here: renounce (self), take (the cross each day) and follow (Jesus). The three relate to the very reality of Jesus in history: He did not cling to his divine condition and became flesh to save; in history, he did not fear suffering, he was rejected, he was faithful to death, fulfilled as the total surrender of himself; all being done in the following of the Father's will for the saving good of all. This model of conscious acceptance of the mission as self-surrender, abandoning one's own will, not fearing the rejection of the world, even passing through death, will certainly be part of the life of one who really wants to be His disciple or disciple. It is important to never forget that behind each disciple there is a cross and in front of it the reality of victory. The body will not have a different fate than the one experienced by the head.

3. He who suffered all things won the victory on the "Third Day." Christ is Risen! Well, to this victory, the meaning of Jesus' teaching is linked: "Whoever loses his life for my sake, he will save it", that is, he will participate in his eternal life, he will be resurrected, he will be glorified, it will be your end. Those who put themselves at the service of the Kingdom of God, abandoning themselves to Christ, will suffer, it is true, but they will conquer the true life, the full life, the life of God. The opposite is also true: anyone embracing the world, following its dictates, will destroy itself forever. For one to be a true disciple should not accumulate riches, nor should he be terrified of the testimony to be made of the death and resurrection of the Master, for it is in his flesh and in the decision of his existence that there will be communion with Christ, which in Lc identifies himself with the Son of Man of Dan 7:13.

Have you ever had a true encounter with Jesus Christ?
Do you have the courage to renounce yourself for Him?
What are your attachments and, therefore, the idols that stain your life before God?

A strong and affectionate hug.
