THE WONDERS OF OUR GOD

 THE WONDERS OF OUR GOD

At nightfall of that day, the first of the week, the doors of the place where the disciples were being closed, for fear of the Jews, Jesus entered and, standing among them, said: "Peace be with you". 20 After these words, he showed them his hands and side. Then the disciples were glad to see the Lord. 21 Again, Jesus said: “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, I also send you ”. 22And after saying that, he blew on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23Whoever you forgive your sins, they will be forgiven them; to those who do not forgive them, they will be withheld from them. ”Brothers, no one can say,“ Jesus is Lord, ”except in the Holy Spirit. 4 There is a diversity of gifts, but one is the Spirit. 5 There is a diversity of ministries, but the Lord is one. 6 There are different activities, but the same God who accomplishes all things in all. 7 Each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit in view of the common good. 12 As the body is one, although it has many members, and like all the members of the body, although they are many, they form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 In fact, all of us, Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, were baptized in one Spirit, to form one body, and we all drank from one Spirit. When the day of Pentecost came, the disciples were all gathered in the same place. 2 Suddenly, a noise came from the sky as if it were a strong gale, which filled the house where they were. 3Then tongues of fire appeared, which spread and rested on each of them. 4 Everyone was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit inspired them. 5 Devout Jews lived in Jerusalem from all the nations of the world. 6When they heard the noise, the crowd joined and everyone was confused, for each one heard the disciples speak in their own language. 7Filled with astonishment and admiration, they said: “Aren't these men who are speaking all Galileans? 8How do we listen to them in our own language? 9We who are Parthians, Fears and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Ponto and Asia, 10 of Phrygia and Panfilia, Egypt and the part of Libya near Cyrene, also Romans who reside here; 11 Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs, we all hear them announce the wonders of God in our own language!
