Happy is he who trusts himself to God! Who seeks to love as Jesus loves us.
I have neither gold nor silver, I bring with me Jesus Christ, who made me love you, I want to share this love with you.
Happy is he who trusts himself to God!
1. Happy is everyone who does not walk / according to the advice of the wicked; / who does not enter the path of the wicked / nor will he sit next to scoffers; / but he finds his delight in the law of God / and he meditates on it day and night without ceasing. - R.
2. Behold, he is like a tree / which is planted by the stream's edge; / it always bears its fruit in its season, † and its leaves will never wither. / Behold everything he does will prosper. - R.
3. But the lot of the wicked is quite another. † On the contrary, they are like dry straw / scattered and dispersed by the wind. / For God watches the way of the elect, / but the way of the wicked leads to death.
Rejoice, leap for joy, / for you have a very great prize in heaven. / Rejoice, leap for joy, / amen!
At that time, 17 Jesus came down from the mountain with the disciples and stopped on a level place. There were many of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all over Judea and from Jerusalem, from the coast of Tire and Sidon. 20And lifting up his eyes to his disciples, he said, “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God! 21 Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled! Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh! 22Blessed are you when men hate you, drive you out, insult you, and curse your name because of the Son of Man! 23 Rejoice in that day and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven; because that was how their ancestors treated the prophets. 24But woe to you who are rich, for you already have your consolation! 25Woe to you who are now full, for you will go hungry! Woe to you who laugh now, for you will have mourning and tears! 26Woe to you when everyone praises you! This is how their ancestors treated false prophets.” Think of God who loves you.
