THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT IS OUR FATHER
The Father has reconciled the world in Christ, entrusting us with his word, the word of reconciliation, the word that saves us today! (2Cor 5.19)

15 1 And the publicans and the sinners came to hear him.
2The Pharisees and scribes murmured, "This man receives and eats with people of bad life!"
3Then he offered them the following parable:
4 "Who of you who, having a hundred sheep and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and goes looking for the lost one until he finds it?
5And when he finds it, he puts it on his shoulders with joy.
6And when he returns home, he gathers his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, I have found my lost sheep.'
7I tell you, that there will be greater joy in heaven by one sinner who does penance than by ninety-nine righteous men who need no repentance.
8Who is the woman who, having ten drachmas and losing one of them, does not light the lamp, sweeps the house and searches diligently until she finds it?
9And when he found her, he gathered his friends and neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me, I have found the drachma which I had lost.
10I tell you, there will be joy among the angels of God for one sinner to repent. "
11 He also said, "A man had two sons.
12The younger said to his father, 'My father, give me the part of the inheritance that touches me.' The father then divided the possessions among them.
13 A few days later, gathering all that belonged to him, the younger son departed for a far country, and there he dissipated his fortune, living in disgust.
14After having squandered everything, there was a great famine in that region, and he began to suffer poverty.
15Then he went to the service of one of the inhabitants of that region, who sent him to the fields to keep the pigs.
16 He wanted to be fed up with the pods that the pigs ate, but no one gave them to them.
17 Then he came to himself and said, 'How many servants are in my father's house that have bread in abundance, and I am starving here!'
18 I will get up and go to my father and say to him, 'My father, I have sinned against heaven and against you;
19I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me like one of your employees. '
20 So he got up and went to his father. It was still far away when his father saw him and, moved with compassion, ran to meet him, threw himself around his neck and kissed him.
21The son said to him, 'My father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son. '
22But the father said to the servants, 'Bring me quickly the best garment and put it on him, and put a ring on his toe and footwear.
23But also a fat bull and kill it; Let's eat and have a party.
24This son of mine was dead, and he revived; had been lost, and was found '. And they started the party.
25The eldest son was in the field. As he returned and approached the house, he heard the music and the dances.
26He called a servant and asked him what was wrong.
27He explained to him, 'Your brother has returned. And your father had a fat bull killed, because he found him safe and sound. '
28 He was angry and would not enter, but his father went out and insisted with him.
29And he said to his father, 'I have been serving you for so many years, never violating any of your orders, and you have never given me a kid to celebrate with my friends.
30And now that your son has returned, who has spent your goods with harlots, you have immediately ordered him to kill a fat bull! '
31 The father said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
32 But it was wise to have a party, for this brother of yours was dead, and he revived; had been lost, and was found '".
