They went everywhere, preaching the Word.

That day a great persecution began
against the Church of Jerusalem.
And everyone, except the apostles, scattered
throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.

Some pious people buried Stephen
and they observed great mourning because of him.

Saul, however, devastated the Church:
he entered houses
and dragged out men and women,
to throw them in prison.

Meanwhile, those who had dispersed
They went everywhere, preaching the Word.

Philip went down to a city in Samaria
and announced the Christ to them.
6
The crowds followed attentively
the things that Philip said.
And everyone listened unanimously,
for they saw the miracles he performed.
7
From many possessed people came evil spirits,
giving great screams.
Numerous paralytics and cripples were also healed.
8
There was great joy in that city.
Word of the Lord.

R. Acclaim the Lord God, O entire earth.

Shout to the Lord God, O whole earth, *

sing psalms to his glorious name,

Say to God: "How great are your works! R.

May the whole earth worship you with respect *
and proclaim the praise of your name!"

Come and see all the works of the Lord: *
his stupendous wonders among men! A.

The sea he changed into dry land, *
and they passed through the river on dry foot.
Let us exult with joy in the Lord! *
7a He rules forever with power!

V. Whoever sees the son and believes in him,
this one has eternal life,
and I will raise him up on the last day, says Jesus.
GOSPEL
This is my Father's will:
every person who sees the Son has eternal life.

At that time, Jesus said to the crowd:

"I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will no longer be hungry
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty again.
36
But I told you
that you have seen me, but do not believe.
37
All those whom the Father entrusts to me will come to me,
and when they come, I will not drive them away.
38
For I came down from heaven
not to do my will,
but the will of him who sent me.
39
And this is the will of him who sent me:
May I not lose any of those he gave me,
but raise them up on the last day.
40
For this is my Father's will:
that every person who sees the Son and believes in him
have eternal life.
And I will raise him up on the last day."
Word of Salvation.
This is my Father's will: everyone who sees the Son has eternal life.
