We need to see ourselves carefully, making a journey within ourselves in the light of Christ. This means first meeting with the eternal Word of the Father. The Word of the Father enables us to know God, ourselves, the other, and the world. Enlightened by Christ, we can safely walk in broad daylight.

2. Only Jesus Christ is the true Light in which we have been inserted. So he said in Mt 5:14, "You are the light of the world." In Christ we also become light. Baptism has given us the grace of sharing in God's life and in what is proper to Jesus. He is the Light, we are partakers of that Light; He is the Truth, we become partakers of this Truth; He is the Son, we also become sons through Him; He is the Word, we too were made partakers of that Word. In short, living like Jesus Christ, we can be truly bright for the world.

3. Without this light it is impossible to see the great defects we possess the more we see the specks of our brothers' defects. In fact, light makes us see first our being, our existence and our actions. First of all, we need to see our own lives in confrontation with God's will and Jesus' example. The foundation for understanding each other is the Word of God at its center, within the reach of our eyes and our hearts.

4. Our blindness is our pride, our self-sufficiency, our life of sin, our petty life without the Spirit of God. Sometimes we think we can do everything and that we are a lot; we give ourselves a very high concept. Indeed, we are important because we are of God, his image and likeness, his children, but we are also flawed, limited, stained by sin, and therefore disobedient. Many times we do not embrace God's will, His plan of salvation. We just follow our interests, our projects and our illusions. God is like something or someone we need at times. That's terrible! It is totally inhuman! The damage to those who forsake self-renunciation to live according to God is enormous, because they simply leave the day, despise the light, and get involved with darkness, the inhuman reality of sin, addictions in general, among others. things.

Invitation for today: to abandon ourselves in the Holy Spirit so that through Jesus Christ our life can be a meeting place with the Father and with our brothers and sisters. By doing so, instead of blind guidance, you will be an instrument of light for those who need to see the Truth.
