It requires a total transformation of man and, for that very reason, of his history. Each transformed person must become God's blessed hands for deliverance from those who are in the bondage of sin.
Jesus had compassion on the man, humiliated by illness and his brothers, a clear demonstration of dissatisfaction with the inhuman code of purity, which in the name of God marginalizes and indirectly kills people. He was not afraid to mingle with that sinner or to carry his uncleanness upon him, for his desire is liberating. It touches that leper, thus breaking once more such an inhuman code. The action of Jesus, in this case, reveals his desire for all mankind. Indeed, He came into the world to save the sinful man, bearing upon Himself the impurities of a world fallen by sin, but able to be transformed by His Power. He had no sin, but He took upon them of all human beings and overcame them by the cross and resurrection. Without injuring the human determinations, he orders the man to introduce himself to the priest, but do not tell anyone about what happened. In fact, the attitude of immediately sending away the one who was healed reveals His anger against such a failed code, an enemy of human dignity. That man was disobedient! As soon as he left Jesus, he proclaimed the wonders he performed. Consequently, Jesus was condemned by the purity code for having touched an impure and therefore could no longer enter a city. But the people went out to meet Him, for in Him He found true deliverance from God.
