Gospel
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth; I did not come to bring peace, but the sword. 35 Indeed, I came to separate the son from his father, the daughter from her mother, the daughter-in-law of his mother-in-law. 36 And a man's enemies will be his own relatives. 37 Whoever loves his father or his mother more than me is not worthy of me. is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it. 40 Whoever receives you receives me; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. 41 Whoever receives a prophet, because he is a prophet, will receive a prophet's reward. 42 Whoever gives even just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones, because he is my disciple, truly I tell you, he will not lose his reward." 11.1 When Jesus finished giving these instructions to the twelve disciples, he left from there to teach and preach in their cities.

Reflection
Jesus proposes very tough demands. His presence appears as a sign of contradiction. Following it favors the beginning of the division. Blood ties are broken in front of him. Through HIM the new family happens, based on His blood on the cross. To form this new family, Jesus demands total and indivisible adherence to Him. Once with Christ, the disciple will be identified in such a way that everything that is done to the disciple is being done to Christ and will not go unrewarded. Jesus does not lose any of his people, he loves them deeply and rewards all those who do good to him.
Following Jesus requires a conscious and radical decision. You need to measure your own capabilities. It is necessary to know if he is really willing or willing to face the radicality of renunciation of himself, of family attachments, of friends, of material goods, of perks, of his own concepts; furthermore, if he is able to face the rejection of many, including his own family and friends, the suffering because of the name of Jesus; often being excluded from groups of brothers of the same faith; being despised or despised for taking the mission seriously, with love for the Church and God, fearlessly defending faith and human dignity; not be afraid to denounce and announce passionately; feel happy when being persecuted or persecuted because of the Word of God, in the name of the same Jesus Christ; not fear martyrdom, become an authentic witness to Christ.
The only wealth of a disciple is Christ himself, who is the Torah of the New and Eternal Covenant. It is up to the disciple to give up their dreams to seriously live God's dream, through total responsibility with the Word of God, total dedication to the evangelizing mission and the good of God's people. The disciple must be faithful, absolutely turned towards the Father, like Jesus, his Master (Pros thon Theon). God is faithful to the Covenant and to everyone, and expects everyone to respond with the same faithfulness. Through Christ, loving Him deeply and living His teachings, following His footsteps and heading in the direction He chose, the disciple will fulfill the Father's will.
The fulfillment of the Father's will will only occur with the renunciation of three important things: attachment to material things (using them for the good of all), to the family (remembering that we form a new family in the blood of Christ and that only in Christ can we learn to truly love our earthly family) and ourselves (Love for ourselves also depends on the love for God. From the Lord, we discover ourselves much more and love ourselves with divine love) . It is therefore necessary to renounce everything to have EVERYTHING.
