God makes a covenant with his people through the Commandments. In obedience to the Law we find the way to salvation so that we can one day live in your home in Heaven.

SECOND READING – 1Cor 1,22-25 Reading of the First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians. Brothers: 22The Jews ask for miraculous signs, the Greeks seek wisdom; 23But we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. 24But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, this Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For he who is called the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and he who is called the weakness of God is stronger than men. Word of the Lord. T.:

GLORY TO YOU, LORD! P.: 13The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14In the Temple he found the sellers of oxen, sheep and doves, and the money changers who were sitting there. 15He then made a whip out of ropes and drove everyone out of the Temple, along with the sheep and oxen, scattered the coins and overturned the money changers' tables. 16And he said to those selling doves, “Take this away from here! Do not make my Father’s house a house of commerce!” 17His disciples later remembered that the Scripture says: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” 18Then the Jews asked Jesus, “What sign do you show us for doing this?” 19He replied, “Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20The Jews said, “It took forty-six years to build this sanctuary, and you will build it in three days?” 21But Jesus was talking about the Temple of his body. 22When Jesus was resurrected, the disciples remembered what he had said and believed the Scripture and his word. 23Jesus was in Jerusalem during the Passover festival. Seeing the signs he performed, many believed in his name. 24But Jesus did not believe them, for he knew everyone; 25and he did not need anyone's testimony about man, because he knew man from the inside. Word of Salvation.

A – Ex 20,1-17 – The briefest form is highlighted Reading from the Book of Exodus. In those days, 1God spoke all these words: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, from the house of slavery. 3You will have no other gods besides me. 4You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth. 5You shall not bow down to these gods or worship them, for I am the Lord your God, a jealous God. I punish the guilt of the parents on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but I show mercy for a thousand generations with those who love me and keep my commandments. 7You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave anyone who takes his name in vain unpunished. 8 Remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. 9 You will work for six days and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a Sabbath, dedicated to the Lord your God. You will not do any work; neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your livestock, nor the foreigner who lives in your cities. 11For the Lord made heaven and earth and sea and all that they contain in six days; but on the seventh day he rested. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. 12Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long years in the land that the Lord your God will give you. 13You shall not kill. 14You shall not commit adultery. 15You shall not steal. 16You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17You shall not covet your neighbor's house; You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to him.” Word of the Lord. T.: THANK GOD.
6. RESPONSORIAL PSALM – From Psalm 18/19 R.: LORD, YOU HAVE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE!/ 1) The law of the Lord God is perfect, comfort for the soul!
